Our most commonly asked question is “"How often do you recommend floating?". The real answer is, it depends. Based on your needs and intentions of floating, the answer can vary from person to person.
Float Therapy is a practice. The more you float, the deeper your experience, and the easier it becomes. Like yoga or meditation, you can not do it once and achieve all of your goals or become Yoda. Each time you float, your practice deepens, your mind and body become acclimated to the environment, and letting go becomes a lot easier.
For anyone curious about sensory deprivation also known as floating or float therapy, we recommend starting off with 3 floats in 30 days. This is a package that we offer to our first time floaters so that they can fully experience the awesomeness and benefits of floating at a very discounted rate. The package of 3 must be used within 30 days of the first scheduled float, and must be used by the same person. We do this so the person floating can receive the max benefits of float therapy.
The first float is typically the most difficult, as it is an entirely new environment and experience, and it can take some time for the mind and body to adjust. A new floater will also have a lot of questions, and anticipation leading up to their first float. The remaining 2 floats allow for a deeper experience as the mind and body know what to expect as a result and can let go much easier.
After the completion of the 3 initial floats, you would have a better understanding of how often you would like to float. Some people enjoy weekly floats, while others enjoy monthly floats. If you have a stressed and anxious lifestyle, you would probably benefit from a consistent frequent floating schedule. If you experience chronic pain and body fatigue, fitting in frequent floats would greatly improve your relief and extend the physical benefits of floating. Whatever you decide, understand that floating is a process and each float is a build up from the previous experience, and it only gets better.
Establishing a consistent schedule for floating will enhance the quality of your floats, and will give you a better understanding of how often you would like to float.
For people who are committed to establishing a floating schedule, we offer monthly memberships at only $49 a month. The membership includes 1 float a month and unlimited additional floats at $37 per float. If your serious about incorporating floating into your monthly routine, consider our membership option. You commit to one float a month, and pay as you go for all additional floats.
